March 9, 2011

Well, here is the first blog since I have been home. Amy, my sister, did a great job updating it all the time when I was gone. I love her and she is great....

The last Saturday night as a missionary I was having a hard time. I didn't feel very well (thinking food poisoning after a Sonic run) and had a huge headache. We had an appointment with a family in Atascocita that I LOVE so we still went. I asked for a blessing from Brother P. He gave me a great blessing that helped me to feel better (instantly!) and also to feel better about what was going to be happening in the next few days. I was given instructions and information on how to handle life.
I was really grateful for the Priesthood blessing. It was just what I needed to hear from the Lord. For these last three weeks I've really relied on those words.

Well, home is great! It is a little odd not being busy all the time! I see how hard it is to keep the good habits I'd developed.

I had a good vacation driving to Iowa with my parents to go see my brother Jeff and his little family. The drive was intense because it blizzarded most of the way! I was grateful for the protection we were able to have. We were most definitely guided!

I have been having lots of fun playing with Haylee and Jaiden (my niece and nephew). We've been doing everything from hide and seek to jumping on the tramp to reading books. It has been so fun!

I am so grateful for all the things that I've been able to learn and am excited to continue learning in this new realm of life after the mission.
I am grateful for the support I've had from my family and friends. Ya'll are great!
