Aloha!

So guess what? This area is quite different from A....mainly in the fact that absolutely NOTHING is going on.... It is abit frustrating, but I will not let KW2 beat me.

My excitingness on Sunday is that I saw the W. family with N. and G. (J. and L. R.'s kids). I was so excited so I walked quickly and reverently ;) to talk to them. They want us over for dinner but it won't be until the middle of October but they said they were going to invite J. and L. I'm way excited. (He was the one who was baptized in July.)

So Sister F. and I have what I like to call the "fourth verse curse." We went to dinner at a family's house and the wife has been super sick for seven years so we sang her a song. We sang "oh my father" and it was really hard to sing. Neither of us claim to be singers in any way shape or form. We both started laughing so hard on the final verse and couldn't keep going. It was kind of a Spirit killer, but we couldn't help it. The miracle was that the woman seemed to come alive afterward and even got up to say a kneeling prayer with us and walked us to the door. Anyway....so we tracted into this lady and for the approach I asked if we could sing a song. Well, she let us in to talk because she wanted to know what we believed.

At the end of a powerhouse lesson with this 87 year old, we sang her a song (I know that my redeemer lives). Well, throughout the first verses I was coaching myself to not laugh. When the fourth verse came Sister F. and I started busting up. I pulled some tears and said that it was just too emotional to sing.... I grabbed a tissue for the effect so she wouldn't think I was just laughing. Sister F. ended up reading the final verse because we couldn't do it. Hence, the fourth verse curse. Hopefully it stops one day.... haha

Our area is so stinking little. If I make good plans we only drive like 6 miles (so we totally could bike) and if I don't plan well then we go 26 miles.... but it really is just a little thing.

So I learned that A. Elders changed S.'s baptism date but she is getting baptized on Sept 25th....I'm hoping President will let me go since it is so close. The Elders I'm sure are having a hayday with all that was left for them. I told them at the beginning if they didn't baptize 10 people it would be their own fault since we lined them all up for them.... That'll happen here.... give me a few months....Things will change here. I know it....well, it has to, especially if I might have to finish up my mission here...hopefully I don't because it isn't so fun but it may happen.

Hmmm....I don't know what else is exciting so I'm going to go!

I love you all! Have a great week!

Jackie
