Hi there!
So this week has been good. We are trying to become master teachers. According to an Apostle, if we teach 20 lessons a week we will become master teachers. I am striving my hardest to be able to get there!
Well, I am not really in a typing mood today, as I just told Amy, so unfortunately (or fortunately) I won't say much.
Oh! Actually! Exciting news! Bro. P. is ready to baptize A.n and C.! They are 9 and 8 and it is going to be on August 7th! I told them I was so grateful because I was sad I was missing Wheat and Beet Days and needed something else to celebrate....he laughed.....We are stoked! I've been working on this for the past 6 months....yay! They are such a neat family!
Thanks for all the emails of the one year....actually....it is kind of weird! I don't know how I feel about being so far into this thing...
Oh guess what else? Sister W. is training! That means that I am a "grandma" lol..... Sister W. is a great missionary. She is getting another Polynesian...Sister K.. It is a bit weird to me to have a "normal" companion instead of a new one from the MTC. I don't know how I feel about it because I like the greenie fire and it keeps me young.... One day maybe I'll be cool enough to train again....
We are still considered the CLOSERS....even more so now. We've been tearing up A..... I love it here!
Basically that is all I think....sorry I'm so lame today.
Have a great week!

Hi All!
So today we were supposed to go pick blueberries in P.. Well, It was raining a lot, so we ended up just hanging out at Sister M.'s house. We did get a load of laundry done. We have Sister B. with us because she is training. Her comp will come in on Wednesday so we are combining schedules and using a lot of miles. Sis. P. and Sister B. were companions in the MTC. They have been chumming around quite nicely. I may go crazy...jk. I love them both. But really.
This week was a bit of a bust. It has been super frustrating here because I have been trying to work so hard and just do all that I can do. We haven't been having much success. I'm even trying to use faith! ;) Well, I always try....sometimes it just works more than others. We tracted a lot this week in the blazing heat. I've never felt so disgusting in my life! lol. One time this week, we were tracting around 5:00 p.m. and we were talking on someone's doorstep. My legs were DRIPPING with sweat and there was sweat running down my arms. I had to wipe my arms off on my shirt while standing there. It was disgusting. I laugh about it now. Well, not....it was still so disgusting. Plus, I had mosquito repellant on so that was melting off as well.
Sunday and today have been pretty rainy. It isn't fun to drive in rain here. I'm not a fanatic, if you will. Apparently it is supposed to rain all week so I'm not excited. Rain is my least favorite of the elements. I'll take heat over rain. One of the reasons is because it is super mas humid if it is raining.
Oh! Transfers! I'm still in A.. :) The ward seemed pretty happy and excited. I had a lot of people come up to me on Sunday and ask what the news was. When I said I was staying they seemed excited. It made me feel loved....I was ok with that. The ward is amazing and I am excited to work with them. Especially the families we are trying to help come to the gospel.
So the B. should be coming home from Panama possibly at the end of the week. I am excited. I haven't seen them in so long and I don't fully know what is going on with the treatments and such.
I have a half a pig in the fridge at the apartment. Brother G. wanted to cook me some ribs before I left and he didn't want to miss his chance so we had them on Friday. IT was so good. It was my first real Texas ribs experience where they were cooked firsthand for me. We had some at our investigators house a few weeks ago, but they were microwaved up because he knew we hadn't eaten yet.
I was chastened by Brother M. because Sister M. walked by us at church and asked how much I was eating and if I were still dizzy. He said that she shouldn't be worried under the A. watch so now with our nightly call in report we have to say who our dinner appointment was or what we ended up eating. He tells us to just show up at people's houses around dinner time and that it will be ok. I always feel bad doing that but I guess I'll just have to learn. We passed around the calendar and it is booked solid for the next two weeks so I really don't have to worry. Which is good, sometimes I don't like to shop for food...
Things have been going good. There are a lot of blessings and I just have to remember to count the blessings. Sometimes I get sidetracked worrying about important things, but also things that are not completely in my control. I can worry about those things.
The tea party sounds fun (minus the tea) and the cabin sounds fun too. Ya'll are havin a blast up there! I am glad. I love the pictures. I'd try to send more, but I just don't have that many.... :)
Well, I don't know what else I would say, I am running out of stories that can be talked about...except we took a former baptist to a baptist family lesson...that was intense. I learned a lot about the baptist religion and how ours is awesome too....a 2 hour testimony of a recent convert that is the product of 2 preachers kids....It is possible to change and love it..... People tell us that baptists won't change, or that anyone will change, but I am here to disprove that! There are so many people here that are prepared. WE just have to find them or be worthy and working hard enough that the members will invite us to meet their friends.....
I am grateful for this opportunity. I am not here to get baptisms...I'm here to teach people that there is more and that they can have the happiness too! The numbers don't matter. The people do. I love them so much here! I am glad I am here! Thanks for all ya'lls prayers! ;)

Aloha!
I am glad Haylee's birthday went so well. That is so fun. The house is darling friends!
Well, I am glad to hear that everyone is in such great spirits there! Things are going well here.
I am glad that you took the computer to Best Buy. I have a three year warranty that I bought so I am glad that you were able to use it. It is under your name madre.
Um....So J. got baptized on Saturday. That was fun. It went well. I enjoyed the service. Here is a picture of the baptism...Well, his family and us.
We are teaching two families currently that are making good progress. One of the families is coming to church and the other will follow shortly I'm sure. One fam is Catholic and the other is Baptist. The Baptist family is super active in their church. It was cool because Sister W. and I saw them outside a few months ago and got an appt with them. Sis. P. and I have gone over a couple of times. Last night Sister F. told Sister P. that she has been praying and the answer is that she needs to keep listening to her....she told me no offense....haha. I am ok with that as long as the answer is to keep listening. We tag team taught them because the husband is ready for different doctrine than she is. I taught him the Plan of Salvation while Sis. P. taught her the Restoration using blocks to build a church. So fun, right? We had a good time.
Tracting here is ridiculous because of how hot it is. People tell us we are crazy....We think they should let us in. I carry a sweater however because when we do get in we freeze because of the sweat that is all over. It is really disgusting actually, but we survive.
Ummmm....transfers are at the end of the week. The ward has been wondering how long I've been here....yeah...just six months, but I'm not ready to leave. They think I might so people are offering to feed us. I'm getting BBQ Ribs on Friday with the G....I'm stoked! I really don't think I will leave. Bro. M. said he was going to call Pres. M.. He said, "I just got you trained.... I will tell Pres. that if you leave I will take my family and leave the church....He won't do that with a family of 8!" (Jokingly of course!) But really, I have good rapor with the ward.
It was really cool because on Sunday, Pres. J. (of the H.T. Presidency) was in our ward (he is in it, but they don't come a lot).. He told Sis. P. that she had a really good companion. He looked at me and smiled. I was super happy. The first Sunday we were here he had us come to his house. He told us if we kept working hard and having faith we would see much success here....he is right! Woot! The bapt. goal for the ward is going to be moved up since we've accomplished it already.
I am going to send home my camera card. I bought a flash drive today since the pic place at Walmart was broken....I haven't been able to get pics of all these fun things so I just will send the card home and keep my flash drive with all the pictures.....
Oh, last time I took my computer to best buy, K.(F.) put on one of those stickers and I totally froke out. I actually had to go home and scrub it gently for a long time to get all the gunk off. I told him that. He just laughed at me....I told him he couldn't put it on the next time I brought it in...haha (so you are right...I do freak out about that). I am glad they are taking good care of it.
Sister M. goes home this week. I am super sad. We've been so busy (and so has she) that we've not been able to get over there to see her. I hope she looks ya'll up...She is planning on it.
I wish I could say that all of the success in the ward is from me but really, it isn't. We have been working our tails off and that helps, but it isn't just us. I have been trying so hard to be obedient and FAITHFUL. It is easy to just go through the motions of missionary work, but it isn't as easy to have faith to find those who are prepared. I have been working on my prayers and I've seen an increased opportunity to listen to the Spirit and an increased senstivity to Him. I am so grateful for that. It helps me a lot.
My comp is great. I've been praying to understand where she is coming from more and I've been talking to her about things. She will become more confident because I'm making her...haha....She will appreciate it though. She is cool. We get along fairly well....
Well, I love you guys so much and I hope everything is going ok! I will probably be emailing you from A. next week, but in the off chance I don't, know that I am sad about it! ;)
P.S. Thanks for your prayers! I enjoy that. It is helping! Pray we can find and baptize those families who are ready. I'll go find em!
Oh yeah, I forgot about the whole dizziness....Well, things are going ok. It is betterish. I just try not to think about it. I'm trying to eat more regularly. The dizziness isn't as often or intense now. I'm still trying to figure it out. Don't worry. I'll be ok. I promise it probably isn't as bad as you all think....I don't think it is bad. It is livable....as in livable with...I can live with it.... I don't think you really want to call the mission office or Sis. M....then they'll just check up on me. I will be ok. I'll email president...haha
Sorry this email is so sporadic. I am not really thinking straightly....Hm.....I don't know why. Maybe because today was super frustrating as a P-Day....but all is well. Life will go on and I will go eat some Chili's or some random pasta salad.
I love you all so much!

How's it going? :D
I am glad to hear that all are safe and sound after the trip. That is so good. I loved the pictures. I just spent 25 minutes reading everything and glancing through the many emails and such...:D
So...Alex was in the Gulf....We just got a torrential downpour from that. Warm rain is NO BUENO! We were tracting and there was a light drizzle so we kept going (without coats) Well, we were down the road about a half a mile when it started to downpour. We went back to the car and were dripping wet when we got in. We went to our dinner half hour early and tried to dry off a bit. It was pretty funny but not....not because you all know how I hate the rain. ;)
Tropical depressions and storms are nice because they drop the temperature about 10 degrees. It was in the 80s and part of it was in the high 70s. That, my friends, is a tender mercy from the Lord! We actually almost flooded our car our. Someone told us it was raining 1-1 and a half inches per hour in the most intense parts. Well, we never got a text to go in, so we were out working. We left an appointment and the road was completely covered in standing water. I was praying real hard that we wouldn't flood out the car. I called Bro. M. and he said, "You are out in this? It is a flash flood warning! Go in! I would!" So we went in and updated the area book. We didn't get our three hours of tracting in like we had planned.... This season should be pretty active I hear but I already have all my hurricane stuff I think....I'll be good...
The ENT doctor was bleh...that is how it was. I was put through some tests and poked and prodded a little bit but it came back that nothing in my ear was funny or amiss. He gave a recommendation for a Neurologist but we aren't going to take that route. Sister M. mentioned something about Hypoglycemia and that it could possibly be that so I am now on a hypoglycemic diet...I don't really know what hypoglycemia is, but I know that I have to eat every few hours.... Before, I wasn't eating because I was dizzy and it made me sick to my stomach, but apparently losing 5 lbs in a month isn't so healthy so I am keeping track. Don't worry, all will be well. We will get it taken care of, or I just won't talk about it anymore because I'm not going home early and if they can't figure it out, that is what will happen, and it can't! I have too many people left to find and help here.
J.R. is getting baptized on Saturday. We are pretty excited. We just got back from an appointment with him and his wife. They are doing so well and he is so stoked! He can't wait! He is inviting all his friends. The ward is really excited too. We are working hard and they are seeing it! I love A. so much! I'm going to live here one day. Well, maybe not since it is so blasted hot and I can't handle that....lol
We were out tracting yesterday and it was so so hot! well, mostly humid. We were both dying. Sis. P. went to wipe off her forehead and there was sweat dripping off her arm. We were both pretty nasty yesterday because of the sports yesterday then the tracting. We went to a members house after an hour in the heat and drank three huge glasses of water before we left. It was intense!
Let's see...what else?!
The P. family, in response to Kelly, is a part member family. Brother P. went on a mission to Africa and he and Sis. P. were married in the temple. The 9 year old and 8 year old sons are not baptized. We are working on that....I love that family so much! Sis P. will randomly buy me John Deere fruit snacks because they are my favorite. :D
If you go to Provo sometime and randomly go into the Sister Missionary Mall, would you care to pick me up a gray skirt? :) Size 4 or 6 will probably do and if you could cut it to just below Kelly's knees, that would be great. Also, I am almost through my first journal....So randomly, if you go pick stuff up and feel a hankerin to send it to Tejas, I'd be okay with that...:D You can take it from my account....
We played basketball, indoor soccer, and dodgeball yesterday....They were all impressed at my mad skills since I am an amazing soccer player. Too bad I realized that after high school. :(. Either way, I rock....haha. I am super sore today though, and will be for a few days I think....well, I know!
I am so glad that ya'll had oh so much fun in Scotland. I will get there one day. I think when I am a traveling public speaker I will go all around the world.
This is a pretty random question, but where do horseflies get their names?
Well, I love you all so much! I hope that you have a fabuloso week and I'll talk to you next Monday! Oh! P.s. Transfers are July 19th....I've been here six months, so it is a little unclear as to if I'm staying or not. I hope I stay. I love this place too much. This could be my 71/2 month area. Justin can't stand to be in one place so long....I love it...haha. I have only had 6 month areas...
Again, I love you!
