The weather is warming up nicely. I actually think it is getting a little hot, but then again, it isn’t anything like it was in August of last year. Plus, I will have the opportunity to slowly get used to it instead of it hitting me hard getting off the plane. I think that will help.
I am going to send a package home soon because I am gathering a lot of things that I am not using but want to keep. I think I’ll try to include Texas things, but I don’t know what yet. Do you have Tony Sachere’s up there? Or slap ya mama? Those are some good seasonings!
I had fried okra the other day, it was a side to the biggest chicken fried steak I’ve ever seen in my life. It was bigger than my head—twice. I didn’t eat the whole thing. I picked at it for three days and still didn’t finish it!
I love the Cs’ and S.S.! I am so glad that you got to visit with them. I love them! I am glad you got to meet them. Aren’t they great? I’m glad you opened the door to them. ;)
I don’t know what else to say…. I am sorry. ;)
I hope ya’ll have a good week! Adios!

Hi There!
So I was going to put some of Bro. P's pictures on here, but you've already seen them. I love that family so much! They are close to my heart! Little N. is so cute! I play dolls with her and such. We talk about Dora.... I love it!
OK...so there are some questions I am supposed to find the answers to.....1- Where is J. serving? The P.'s are from Canada and would like to know. I have been forgetting to ask for weeks!
Thank you all so much for the birthday wishes and gifts and cards and everything else! My birthday was good! Well, I did get sick from tracting in the rain, but not too bad. I was sick for my birthday potatoes, but I was able to smell how good they probably tasted...if that makes sense! haha....
so funny story....I talk in my sleep. Not just talk, but I've been teaching lessons. Apparently, the other day I said, "Well, have you been reading?!?!" It even woke me up kind of instead of me just sleeping through it. Oh, and I was talking to ya'll one night because I was laughing, according to S.W. Poor girl has to listen to me talk all day and all night!
We have been teaching families lately. It is great!
A really cool experience happened the other day. We were trying someone on our potentials list. We were knocking on her door when she pulled up. She had had a hard day, as we could tell. She was on a bluetooth phone talking as she got out. We found out from that that she had someone close to her die within the last few weeks and that an 8 year old friend just got cancer and had 6 months to live.
When she got off the phone she was not in the mood to listen. We asked if we could come in and talk to her. She said no, she was busy and had to go talk to her daughter about some things. We asked if we could sing a song. We sang her "did you think to pray." After the song, we talked about the Plan of Salvation. We asked her if she wanted us to come share with her. She told us, "yeah, come in, I want to know what ya'll have to say!" We taught her the Plan of Salvation. She was super excited about it. She is planning on coming to church on Sunday. We told her she could follow us to church. It will add about 10 miles to our daily total, but it is worth it!
I've never had to work so hard with such little numbers results. We are doing a lot of good though. We see miracles unfold everyday. We sing many songs to people. S.W. didn't know she was going to be singing so much outside of church! Then again, neither did I. Singing just has such an amazing power to bring the Spirit so quickly! You know how I don't like to sing really, but I am learning to enjoy it. I love seeing people smile. :D We sang to a woman on the porch just the other day and she started crying and wanted to give us hugs. I love it!
Where we are in the city we see a lot of hispanic workers in people's yards. I had three conversations in Spanish yesterday. I say conversations...ha! We know how my spanish isn't very good. The Spirit compensates for that I think. I need to study/learn how to say more about the church so I can help the Elders out more.
We get to go to the Temple tomorrow! YAY! I am super excited! It is about an hour away...
I have loved this week! I've been feeling so loved! Everyone has been thinking of me! I guess that is what happens on my birthday!
So the T. family cooked my potatoes for my birthday. Then, they asked if I could bring some for the next day because they were feeding us again. They wanted me to cook them for them. I made some hashbrowns. They were so excited over them! I must be a good cook. Well, it helps when I am working with UTAH Potatoes! They are simply the best! I have enjoyed them so so so so much! Thank you! :D :D
The apple tree is gone? How plain! :( Are you going to replace it with anything? I haven't really taken any pictures this week I don't think. I have my camera and such ready though.....( We tore out the apple tree just outside the back door)
I am listening to the cd that B. and V. sent me. I am feeling lazy right now so that is why I'm not really capitalizing things.
N. is still learning. She is asking us to find more proof from the Bible so she can prove it to her husband. She loves what we teach. She is definitely a searcher and is ready for the gospel. She is working on her husband now.
I can't think of anything else and I'm sick of being on a computer. Is that terrible?
Kelly is not going to be very happy because she isn't going to get a long email. Can you take her wrath for me. ;)
I love you!

March 17, 2010 (cont.)
This week has been good. We are working hard. I was feeling like a terrible missionary because people weren't making progress and we weren't finding many interested people. Then we had a meeting with our ward mission leader. I m doing better now though. Brother M. (the ward mission leader) told me that i was going to see a lot of people get baptized because of me and that many of them would go to the temple. I believe him. I've actually heard that before on my mish too but I am getting frustrated because I try so hard and am not seeing the results. He told me that I wouldn't know about a lot of people/things until after I die I will see a lot of the work/seeds planted etc. I sure hope so but it would be nice to see some results now, you know?
It has been so blasted hot here lately. I'm pretty sure this is going to be a summer where I learn to appreciate the Utah summers....last August I thought I was going to die...bleh....It has already been in the 80s here. Today is a good 70....
but yes....things are good. I have a lot of stuff...I'm going to have to declutter before I move again. I am safe for another 6 weeks but after that I don't know....
Anyway, we are going to go finish our laundry and do lots of fun things before we are done with the day....
I love you mucho!

Hi! How are ya?
Happy Birthday to me! Don't you worry about me not getting cake and ice cream and fed....especially on my birthday.
Sister C.P. made me a jello cake yesterday. I'm excited to eat it....I have pictures but the camera isn't registering or something....lameness! oh, and Sister N. made a cake too....Then for dinner we had cake. I had three cakes yesterday. :S
I don't know how I am going to keep my girlish figure. ;)
So we saw a rocking horse made for a 6'6 man. cool, eh? These random people let us take a picture on it....It was funny.
I left my planner with funny quotes of the week in the apartment. I know, I wish I had them too.
I kind of felt bad last week but I am going to make up for that this week.
We are going to get pictures taken of us today with real legit professional cameras and such. I love the P. family. They are great..... Let's see...what else???? Well, I am going to go. I'm sorry I'm not a fountain of wealth this week....
The grandparentals are going on a cruise? That will be so fun? That's all.....
OK...I love you!

Hi there!
So guess what? I have been gone for 7 and a half months....isn't that crazy? Time flies all the time!
Well, this week has been good. We have been tracting (knocking doors) a lot! It has been good. Not as many people will listen to us but the ones that do are usually pretty awesome!
I have started writing down funny quotes that people will say during the week and I thought I'd write some to you all.
"I don't need glitter to be bedazzled." --E.S.
"We should call them heterosexually challenged." (A random man tracting--talking about gay people....) It was actually really funny....
"I don't question what is in your clean clothes pile." --me, at SW's house. She was trying to explain....We didn't really care..it was odd but funny...
"Now take this biscuit and shut up!" --S.N. to her dog, Killer (or Moose)
S.N. is this cute old lady who lives by herself. I love her! She is super cute! She has 2 dogs that bark all the time at us. She will yell to them in a high pitched voice...I laugh so hard every time!
Anywho, we found a lady named N. who we are really excited about! She is reading everything and she is asking such good questions! She is really involved in her church and teaches Sunday School so hopefully she can make the transitition. We have been taking people to meet her. Hopefully she comes to the crawfish boil on Saturday.
Everything is going well. I love it! We are going to go to S.M.'s house today to scrapbook. I am going to take my mission book and go crazy! Also, I need to decorate my planner. I decorated it, but I think I am going to redecorate it at S.M.'s house. I am going to send out a Christmas card like thing I think...I don't know. That way everyone can know what is going on....I just don't have any exciting stories.... ;)
Well, here it is a lot more safe so I don't really have any crazy almost died stories like I did in P.A. I've been told I'm going to hell a lot but other than that it is pretty calm.
We have an investigator that wants to take us to the Houston Livestock and Rodeo show but we asked and we can't go. It is a little out of the mission and it isn't our focus. However, I am still bummed because it would've been awesome! Maybe when I come back....(Yes, I've already made promises to come back....I had to!)
We are going to talk to the P. family about baptism on Friday night. I am praying that they will accept! They have two boys 9 and 8 who haven't been baptized. They are such an amazing family and I want them to have the most happiness that they can have!
I've been learning a lot about obedience (well, a lot more). Everything is conditional upon it! Even the little things....
Sad day....We went to eat squirrel. Apparently they'd been huntin' fer it all day but hadn't killed any so we didn't get squirrel....They kept telling us how good it was....Maybe the next time we'll be able to have it. They are going to call us!
Well, I don't know what else to tell you except for the fact that it is going to be weird NOT to have Grandma sing on my birthday.... I guess she can call one of you and sing....that will make up for it maybe. I don't know!
Well, again, I don't know what else to say! I love you all!
Have a great week! I am going to!
Jackie
p.s. The pictures are a little random. It was at a park somewhere up the 59. I drove there but I don't even know where it is...maybe in Cleveland Texas.....
The two sisters are S.W. and S.M....(and me) They are serving in H.

Hi There,
This week has been really good. Nothing super exciting going on except missionary work! We knock on a lot of doors. The other day I was trying to remember what our front door looked like. I didn't knock on it a lot....Anyway....side note.
D. is doing ok. He is focusing too much on the details and not enough on the story and the scriptures. We try to tell him that it will make sense but will take time. We read some with him and he is coming to Sister M.'s house on Friday to watch a DVD with us and to feel the spirit! He has to come to church the next three weeks or he can't get baptized on March 27th....
S.C. also has to come the next three weeks to make it work. She is so amazing though! I loved when we asked her to get baptized. She shifted in her chair, threw up her hands in the air (pretty much saying, "finally they ask!") and told us, "Yes!" It was awesome. I am excited for her. The whole Fibromyalgia is definitely throwing a kink into things but I feel so bad for her! I hope I don't have a debilitating disease....I'd much rather go fast, ya know?
So we got told a few times how we were going to hell. I finally knocked into my first baptist preacher. That was fun. hmmm...It was really cool though! The sky was a little bleak. We were talking to him and he was trying to trap us in our words but not listening to the meaning or explanations and the rain started....It was just bad enough that he said, "it's raining, ya'll better go before you get wet." So I took the advantage of leaving....usually it is really hard to get away when people want to bash (and we just stand there and let them until we can find a good time to break away). About two houses down the rain stopped....Thank you! haha
Last Saturday we were also knocking doors (yes, daily occurance for a few hours....). There was a woman that was letting us talk. We didnt' think she was all there but she was telling us funny jokes. She said that she would be willing to be baptized. We would talk and she would shout out, "Thank you Lord Jesus" and such....It is always distracting as we are praying but I am getting used to it. Anyway, we called her niece like she asked so we could come back but the niece was really not very happy and said that her aunt was not all there and we couldn't come by and teach G. or her (the niece) so we left it at that. One of her jokes was: Who cuts the moon's hair? Answer: ECLIPSE! I couldn't stop laughing for a few minutes...I loved it! She was a funny funny lady....
We are still eating a lot of lasagna and pasta. Monday night we had mexican casserole and yesterday we had pizza. That was good....mmmm
I already have such fun plans for the bday...well, We told the T.'s when my birthday was and they are going to cook us dinner that night and lunch the next day....They asked what I wanted....MASHED POTATOES of course. I haven't had that since I came to A....yeah....sad day, right? I'm going through potato withdrawals.... Well, not really, but soon I will be!
E., an investigator, also invited us to do gokarts that night, but that is a lot apostate and out of our area so we can't go. I think it would be so fun but I'm not here for that....I'm here for gospel fun!
Transfers are on March 15th. I don't think I will get transferred but you never know.... Plus, I don't really need anything for my bday except a fun card in the mail....I love checking the mailbox....I feel like Kelly....excited over the little things. ;) (It is a good thing!)
Hmm.....what else is going on in life? I can't think of anything. We are working hard each day and I'm learning oh so much about the Savior! I love i!
I loved the tape I got last week. It is so funny. I just laugh and laugh! I love my cutest family!
I don't have pictures because I left my camera at the apartment. I'm still just so used to not taking it anywhere because of P.A. I could get over that.
OH! I forgot to say that on Monday I am going to eat squirrel! YAY! So last week (I may have already said this) but we went out to H. and ate lasagna for dinner (no surprise) and when we were eating the 5 year old was talking about how he and his daddy went out and killed squirrels and barbecued them. Yes, barbecued them. They had some in the fridge but I was so full by the time I found this out that I didn't want it to mess up the taste in my mouth (brownie--can you blame me?). She said that we could come for dinner on Monday and they would have squirrel. SO EXCITED! S.W. is less than enthused but I couldn't be more excited.
You only live once so you may as well LIVE, right? (Said in good judgment and thought) I've already had alligator, catfish, cajun food, and soon squirrel! Oh, and soon cajun crawfish too. Hot dog!
As we are knocking and such I tell people that we did have to learn a foreign language....TEXAN! Preach My gospel says we should use our mission language as much as possible so I probably will have a good accent. The other day at the P. home I told them "I'm gonna buy me some..." I told them I didn't know if that was coming from Utah or Texas. They told me if it were from Texas I would've been fixing to buy me something so I'm still maintaining some sort of Utan....We'll see how that all works out.
President M. is so funny.... I am glad he is the President.
Well, again, I love ya'll! Have a good week, ya hear!?!?!??!
Hey, did E. and S. C. stop by yet?
Love,
Jack Attack!

Hi ya'll!
It is sad to hear the news about J. and C.'s parentals. I will keep them in my prayers. I have decided that I hate cars because of all the destruction they cause. When I get back I'm not driving anymore....well, thats a lie, but sometimes I wish that could be the case. Actually, that is a big lie. Brother L. inspired me to get a junk car when I get back, drive it ‘til it dies and hitchhike back to wherever I need to be. He is doing that soon and I have always wanted to and I think that is going to be in the plans.
Also, this week, haha, I got pulled over! I was going 35 on a 55 mph road. The officer pulled me over and said it was rush hour traffic and I could cause a wreck. He asked if I knew where I was going and I said no. That helped.... He just told me to be more careful. Then, he said (out of the blue), "I went to ya'lls website today." Then I thought, "That's why I was pulled over.... the Spirit did it!" He was looking up food storage stuff because of what is going on in the world. He wasn't interested in learning more at the moment, but he was nice....so there you go. I've officially been pulled over now, but it wasn't because of me, it was because he needed the missionary contact! ;) IT was in H....random!
So we get fed so much. If we didn't tract for a few hours a day I'd probably be getting pretty huge. But yes, we tract ALOT!
We've been getting fed lasagna a lot! You always hear stories of missionaries getting the same foods over and over again. Well, that is what it is like with lasagna. It isn't my favorite food, but the tag I think makes you like all foods....I even eat tomatoes sometimes. bleh...they still disgust me, but I eat them. I don't fully understand. Also, the other day, we had a member take us to lunch-a mexican restaurant, then we had members take us to dinner-a mexican restaurant. Luckily I got two completely different things, but I am done with chips and salsa for a while!
Padre, did you know a B.H.? He says that you sound familiar. He was in T. and worked for the road crew for a year. He was there in the early 70s....Well, he and his fam just moved here from Utah. I got real excited. We know a lot of the same people. He said something about R. and I just laughed...I said I wasn't too fond of him....I think so anyway....haha. He knows the B. and a few other common people I know.
Oh, exciting! There is a Cold Stone real close so if K. wants to send me my birthday Coldstone ice cream coupon, I wouldn't mind. :D
I got the package today. It was pretty exciting. Even more exciting, Sister W. doesn't like sugar cookies so I get them all to myself but still got the points of sharing. :D Life is good. She likes the apple chips. And the CDs are godsent because I'm so sick of Motab..... :) :S
guess what? I was going to email pictures but I left my camera in the car. I don't want to lose my email spot so you'll just have to wait. I am sending you a letter that has some pictures in it. Also, I finally filled up the camera card, so I will be sending that to you shortly.
I can't remember what else I was going to tell you so I'll just have to wait. I still have lots of emails to write and no time! bleh....
Oh, mom, did you go to the Maui Taco place in the Minneapolis airport? it is in the B terminal I think. The tacos are so good there! I was going to tell you last week but I forgot....random, but it is good. I'm glad that you made it and made it safely! I'm jealous. I love flying! It is so fun! I think I should be a pilot or a stewardess sometimes....or someone that organizes and trains those people! That would be fun! :D
Love you!
Jackie

So...Guess what?
I'm finally at a library that has technology! Yay! And...I brought my camera stuff...yay!
I don't really know what the pictures are actually. I forgot. Hmm... Oh well.
This week has been good. I love it! We are working with a family that they fell away a while ago and they are working on coming back. That anti-Mormon stuff can do remarkable damage in such a short time. Do not subject yourself to it ever!
So we had this lady let us in this week and tell us we were going to Hell. That was a first. She even prayed and was crying because she was so concerned for our souls. She gave us her phone number and told us to call her when we wanted to know the truth. When she would talk I could feel the spirit go away. It was crazy! Then when we would testify I'd feel it come back until she started talking again. I love how we can FEEL truth. Crying, she said something to the effect that we were not going to be happy when we stand before our maker. I looked her in the eyes and said, "B., I am prepared to stand before Jesus Christ and God with the knowledge and the actions I have taken in my life."
I felt good about it...
Also, in sacrament meeting we heard from a true Texan. Hepin his neighbors and fixin to do sum service. The accent was a little thick. I had a hard time for part of it.
We are searching for the searchers. It is hard work, but so so good! I love it! I still love my comp. We are really trying hard to be obedient and work as hard as we can each day. The blessings are flowing in like crazy!
I love you all and hope that you have a marvelous week! Thanks for your prayers and your amazingness.
Oh, and I got to see the C. couple before they left. They called me on our cell phone and told me they were coming through. I called President later and said, "President, I have the most selfish request ever....can we come see the C.s' before they go?" He said yes! Luckily it is only an 8 mile round trip to the mission home! I gave them hugs and we talked for a few minutes then Sister W. and I went back to work. They said they will come see you. I am so excited for you to meet them! They are so good and got me through one of the hardest times of my life....:D
I love you!

Hey Hey Hey!
So this area is awesome! I love A! I don't like having to spell it however. Hard!
My companion is Sister W. She is from Hawaii. She is from Maui and I think the city is called W or something but I'm not super sure. She is so awesome! It totally brings the scripture to life for me of after the trial of your faith comes the miracles.
Transfer day was a interesting. I am only about 6 miles from the mission home/office so I had to ride through most of the mission. I worked with Sister M. for the first few days (I'm sure I've already told you this) and we have been working in A since last Wednesday night. It is great!
We tract a lot but it is good too. It is hard because this area is so so different from my last area. In P A there was a lot of storm damage and smaller houses and such. Here, we have a LOT of mansions. I would say that 80% of our area is more well-to-do than most people. I've only been in 2 trailers in a week so that is a little different to me but I'll get used to it. They are nice though. I like it....
If you haven't gotten it yet....I LOVE IT! This is what it is about. We are finding people. We are teaching people. I feel the Spirit so strongly so much! It isn't just bearing the day and the transfers but living in it! Thank you for all the prayers! :D
ok mom, I will answer your questions. I even brought your letter so I can address them all for you. ;D
1) No I didn't really talk to President about the woes until the week before we were getting transferred because I had been yelled at the night before and it ticked me off enough to say something.
2) We go on splits about once every six weeks so we can learn from other missionaries, but yes, I had alterior motives for getting away for a day but it is routine...
There....the questions have been answered. I did learn so much from her though.
I learned boldness. I learned that I can commit people to change their lives if I mean it and love them.
I learned that I can handle anything! While living at Raintree, K, M, and I would say, "if we can survive a summer at Raintree we can survive anything!" and it is so true. this added that testimony to me. If I can survive three months with someone hard to live with, I can survive anything! I learned a lot about commitment. If I were not truly committed to the work I wouldn't be able to do it. Kelly and Nick and pretty much everyone believe that I am commitment phobic. Well, I learned that even when things are tough, we can take it day by day and it will work out. Sister R and I were both working for what we believed in and we could work together. I know that it will be much easier in relationships now which is something that I didn't have before. When things would get serious or I thought it might get that way, I was gone! Now I think I'd be able to handle it.
Sister R was really cool. When we were able to work through things and talk we were able to do well. It took a while (about 11 weeks) to learn how we can work together, but that last week was powerful! I know that I had to learn these things and I am grateful I was able to see the positive.
So this ward is awesome! Oh yeah, we have a baptism coming up on Sunday. His name is A. He is 9 and awesome! He has a strong testimony. We get to fill the font. That will be fun.
It was cool this week because we were tracting and found a family that was willing to listen (kind of) but after we got in and talked to E she asked to come to church. Her, T, and B came to church and liked it. We are going to meet with them again this week. We are way stoked. It is amazing how the Lord prepares people and how if we are doing our job he will put them in our path. we are searching for the searchers and are finding some! YAY!
This is super long and I don't know what you would like to include in the blog. I hope the blog doesn't make Sister R out to be a terrible person. She is nice and I learned a lot. She was crying when I left. It was kind of sad. She will do well though. Anyway, I gave the blog information to Brother H (the ward mission leader in P A) and I wondered if that may not have been a good thing after, but I'm sure it only has truth on it. Anyway....haha
Oh, and the C couple is heading home next Wednesday but they may not come right away. They are getting released sometime next week and will probably be around. I will have to get their phone number to you another time....They do have yours though and the address and directions how to get there. They are so amazing! I can't wait for you to meet them! :D They also thought Sister R and I got along really well, like most people did, so if you say anything, don't tell them everything. :D
So Kel told me that Jeff and Ewa just bought a house! Congrats! Is it in Iowa? I know it isn't in Tremutton.... I need the address if I may.
Oh, p.s. The area is so so much safer. I feel like I could leave the apartment unlocked and go to sleep and not even worry. We lock it, don't worry, but I feel so safe here! So no more worrying about me being robbed or killed or the church being broke into. It is great!
Wow. This is long and I still need to write everyone. Maybe I'll just include everyone in this one....I love you all and am excited to work in A (still hard to spell) and I'm loving the letters and packages and such. :D Ya'll are great!
Love you!

Hi All!
I have a new email address, new companion, new area, new address!
:D
So I got a call on Saturday night….I was being transferred. I didn’t realize how much stuff I had until I tried to cram it into three little suitcases! Ridiculoso! I fit most of it in. More than I should’ve taken I’m sure. Space bags are amazing!
Sunday night the C's came over to say goodbye. I love them so much! They said they are going to come and visit you. Remember when we went to Cove Fort and I got that little button toy that was wooden? It is in my room on the pink shelf thing where my hats from Grandpa are. Anyway, they made that I’m sure. I am excited for you to meet them! When the C's were there, President called. He calls for leadership positions on Sunday nights. Well, he asked me to whitewash an area and train. So…I get on the transfer bus on Monday morning, ride almost through the whole mission, and get off at the last stop. I also had to ask what whitewashing was. It is two brand new missionaries in the area so you only have the records from the previous missionaries to work off of. I am in A. Luckily I called the office today and got my address. I’ve been working in H. with Sister M. and will go to A. after I pick up my greenie. I’m freaking out a bit. I told Sister M. I think President is trying to kill me with the whole stress thing….haha…hm…..
We taught a lesson the other day with three adults listening. One was super Anti, and the other two were listening so well. I instantly loved the woman! Her name is I. I wish they were in my area! Shoot, I’d take them any day!
Apparently I’m walking into a baptism….next Saturday. A is 9. He is so so smart! I’m excited to help plan that and such. Also a couple of other kids are getting baptized in March. They are considered convert baptisms because they are part member families so we get to teach them. I’m pretty excited. The ward is apparently awesome. I’ve only met a few of the members but we have dinner with more of them tonight and pretty much this whole month. The Sisters that were here before were so awesome and they left things super organized.
Hmmm…This is pretty random….sorry…I don’t really know what to say. Plus, I had to do the whole new email thing so I don’t have a lot of time….
Sorry I didn’t tell you more of the crazy stuff….I thought you wouldn’t want to know. I’ll fix that by not telling Kelly either…haha. Just Kidding. A is in the city and it is suburbia. I see lots of airplanes flying by all the time because the Airport is just right there. The air is clean and I like that…..I am getting a gold Corolla…the mission car….no more fancy Malibu for me, but that is ok because it was a boat!
I have been using my seminary scriptures as my proselyting scriptures, but I think I’m going to start using the ones I study with. The houses are all two story here and super nice. I feel so awkward. Especially coming from Mid County where it was a lot more rare seeing two story houses. Plus, the sketchy areas here seem super safe still. That means I have to be more careful!
Well, I am pretty sure that is it.
Well, I hope that you have an amazing week! You will be hearing from me next week and I’ll tell you about my comp. As for now, I don’t know her.
Adios!

Howdy!
So I went on exchanges this week. It was so so fun! I went to Vidor. It is a small town but there are tons of Mormons because of William Williamson. I'm sure there are things about it on the net so I won't go into detail.
I was with Sister S. We saw many people, had the spirit, and had some fun! We did service at this place called the Christian Care Center. Well, I have a whole new wardrobe now and a lot of it is summer clothes. Bonus! Plus, it was all free! As the other Sister S. would've said, "bonus fry!"
So I have the gift of tongues now. I told President about it. I was reading in the scriptures and it was Christ talking to the people and having them look from his example of praying. He tells them to do that which we see him do. and ya'll have witnessed! (3 Nephi 18:24). Maybe it is a little stretch but it is true!
I am really trying hard not to get into the ya'll thing. Ever since Christmas I've been more self conscious than I was before about saying it! It comes out occasionally but not all the time.
So I learned about a cool website called peopleatwalmart.com. I guess they show lots of pictures people take while in walmart. I thought J and A would be most amused by it. I haven't seen it nor will I for a long time, but I thought I would get word out.
This week has been so good! We are teaching many people and testifying of Christ! I love it!
So you got a foot of snow? Wow. As we were teaching a less active the weather was on. I saw that it was dumping on Utah. I didn't know it was that intense! I'll put on a sweater when I think of you. ;) Except that would be so hot! It got into the 70s this past week. It was super hot. I already feel the humidity on my skin. People are saying this is an unusual winter. I'll take the 70s weather. I like that better than the cold, rainy, humid they were talking about.
I sent a package home. Nothing exciting really. A lot of stuff...letters, planners, and things that were made or given to me. There are a couple of gold Disney ornaments in there in a tupperware thing. There isn't a tape, but I did put in a little letter. It is wrapped pretty intensely so it better get there!
Sometimes I feel like I am going everywhere! I thought of a nickname that I was surprised wasn't given to me...Sidetrack Jack...well, maybe because I used to not get on tangents as much, but I've been doing a lot of that lately!
Guess what? Last night, I was eating a chicken sandwhich and I ate it WITH a tomato on it. Yeah. I know, right? I don't eat tomatoes. I thought I'd try it. I didn't like the texture of the inside part of the tomato very much, but it wasn't super nasty like I thought tomatoes would be. I still don't like them but I surprised myself with my bravery.
Anyway, I love you!

I forgot to say that V (town) was super cool. There were trees and lakes and CLEAN AIR! When we were coming back to P. A,, Sister S. said, "what is that smell?!" I told her it was the refineries. It was worse than normal. It is interesting how you can get used to something like that. I love the area in V! I also love P. A.
I still haven't seen an alligator but they should be coming out soon! I'll keep you posted!
Love you!

So I went on exchanges this week. It was so so fun! I went to Vidor. It is a small town but there are tons of Mormons because of William Williamson. I'm sure there are things about it on the net so I won't go into detail.

Hi Parentals!
It is so good to hear from you each week! I love getting the emails and the pictures. :D You are both so so great! I brag about my awesome family to everyone. :D
There was a cool experience yesterday. One of the ladies I talked to with Sister S. finally was able to meet with us. We shared the message of the Restoration. Then asked her if she would pray about it. She said, "I don't feel like I need to. I already know. She (pointing at me) never gave up on me." It was a cool moment showing that I am here for a specific reason. I am pretty sure I won't know the end of that one, but hey, it was still way cool!
So in Helaman 3:23 I learn why I love the country so much. The Gadianton robbers are in the more established parts of the land. AKA GANGS! So....I am pretty sure I want to live in the country my whole life!
Don't worry about sending me anything for a few weeks. I really should be getting transferred. I've been here almost 6 months now and that is a pretty good indicator.
You should be proud of me because I'm doing my best to be obedient and follow the mission rules. There are a lot of people who don't and it makes it hard but it is worth it to be obedient because of the spirit that can be felt in this.
I am glad Dad made it to Missouri safely. I pray for your safety! I'm also glad Mom made it to St. George. I got a letter from Gma W yesterday. It was very heartfelt and touching. I do love those letters! :D
Have a good week!
