Hi!
How are ya?
Well, this week has been a little scary, but not because of anything that has happened to us, just in the area in general. There are a lot of problems but we stay out of the unsafe places in the night, and some of them even during the day!
So there is a Butler girl that is married to a Williams guy that moved into our ward. She went to BR for 3 years but graduated from Mountain Crest. She knew Danny and recognized Kelly's face. That was a funny meeting at church! They moved in because of the work. There are a lot of expansion projects in the refineries so many people are coming in.
Do you know the T.s' from D.ville? The C. couple said they used to go to D.ville to buy fruit and it was from them....I thought that would be super funny if you knew them.
I'm emailing with dad right now so I'm going to make this a litlte short so I can find out what is going on.
This week has been good. M. is planning on getting baptized on Saturday, but it may have to be moved back. We will see. I am super excited for her though! She is making big steps, as everyone does.
We are working super hard and looking for the searchers....there are many people who will let us in and talk to us, but we want those who are earnestly seeking for the gospel. There are many and we are doing our best to find them!
So that is cool that Brian is going back English. I bet he will just love it much more. English is way cool! ;)
The C. couple got our address and your phone number. They are going home Feb 15/16 and they said they would want to come meet ya'll. They are so so awesome! I love them so much. I told them you'd probably feed them. I brag about our potatoes and corn and beans and everything so much. ;) It is sad that they are closing everything out. They are trying to make sure everyone will be taken care of after they leave. They want us to start going out to W. I told them we would try to wrangle the miles....
I saw a drug deal on Monday. That was interesting. We drove by and saw them exchanging drugs and money. We drove by and looked, but went by quickly. It is usually quick. We don't normally see that close to the church but it was. I've seen them in PA but not up that high.
Anyway, it will be ok.
Well, I am going to go see what Dad has to say!
Love you! Have fun on your week with your time with Pammy and Grandma!
Jackie
oh, p.s. Can you maybe send my quad that you gave me when I was 9 in a package? If you do it "media mail" it is cheaper than the flat rate boxes and such. But, if you send it, can you do it in a few weeks in case I'm transfered? That way I do'nt have to carry too much more stuff.....I konw that is random, but kind of a heads up....also the CDS of the church music that I have up by the stacking/puzzle bears in the entertainment center in my room.....random...I konw...:D

Hi all!
So this week was super good! We rocked the holiday weekend! Because people were still off from work and such, everyday was like a Saturday. we could tract at any time and teach at anytime...best week ever! well,.....ish...haha
We had 33 lessons...the goal is 20. 18 of those were with investigators so it rocked. We have a lot of people planning on getting baptized and we actually had investigators come to church so it rocked. I definitely enjoy that!
On Saturday we were tracting and we ran into a 17 year old kid. He said, "oh sure, come on in. I need a message right now." We shared with him the Restoration. He was so happy! He said that he had been praying for a church and praying for someone to show him the way....well, we came. It was awesome! We left him with a few chapters to read. He called us later and said he'd already read it and asked if he should go on. We said yes....
When we went to see him on Monday, he said that it changed his life. He said he went door to door to his neighbors and read it to them or with them....Alma 32-36.... He would testify to them that it would change their life. We are going to go tract that street again....:D
He is great! I am super excited. As we work hard the lord is blessing us with people....even in random places! We met a man in Subway the other day and as we were leaving he smiled and yelled, "see you at church!" It is great! I've been here 5 months now and the area is exploding! I am unsure if I am going to be here another transfer or not and have mixed feelings on that as well. But hey, obedience with hard work....it works!
I haven't got anything in the mail in a few weeks....the last thing was a letter from Kenzie the day after Christmas. I wonder what is going on! I've never been empty boxed so many times! :D Translation: If you write, I wouldn't mind. :D
Sometimes it is difficult and I wish I were home, but I just work harder to get my mind back in it. Some days last forever but then the day is gone. Time is such a funny thing, no?
We are going to hear from a general authority on Friday. I'm not sure who, though I should know. I'm pretty excited about that.
I'm still debating on names for my GPS....Our current GPS, Meredith Magellan has been smarting up lately so I'm thinking I'll have to bust out the new one. I'm thinking Lia (Liahona) or just calling it NUVI since that is what it is. hm....Let me know if you have any thoughts on good names.
A. still says she can't get baptized, but we are working on that. She loves the church and loves the feeling but her kids are saying no. We just keep urging her to pray. We are praying pretty hard core for her as well. M. is still doing well. She came again on Sunday so she just needs one more time before she can be baptized. We are teaching her about the commandments now....everything else has been done. we are pretty efficient here in Mid-County.
Well, I think that is about it....though really I don't know. I'm sure I'll think of something when it is too late....well, I love you all!
Jackie
p.s. Where are you going to out that mirror thing that was over grandma liz's table? I think that is so great. I love Grandma. She is just so fun. I had a dream about her the other night. I asked if she was doing ok but then the stupid alarm went off....lame! She looked happy though. I'll be ok. Don't worry about me. I just try not to have any down time...especially in the place where I found out..... :S
But really, I'll be ok.

Hi Parentals!
It was nice to talk to you on Friday. Sorry it was so short! I am glad that it was working well. I called Jeff afterwards. It didn't work on SKYPE so I ended up using Sis. T.'s phone to call him. She has Verizon too. Most people do...haha
I'm glad to hear the funeral went well. So the goat didn't say anything? Wow....I'm unsympathetic too mom. :) If she didn't try to make everything about her it would be different, but she does. Poor me! ;) I am my mother's child. ;0
Well, this week has been ok. I'm a little down, I must say. Sister R. is patient and loving with me so that makes it better. I read the letter grandma wrote me in my book Kelly made me. She says how I am her favorite Great Grandchild and how I am the greatest ever....well, not exactly, but that is what is written between the lines! She did say that she was super proud of me and that she was going to miss me so much. She also said that she would be right where she was when I left.
It is hard to believe that she was in pain because I didn't see it, but I guess that makes it easier. I just wish I wasn't such a bawl baby! When I start crying it just keeps going....
We had a few investigators drop us this week. That isn't very fun. Though, we are working to have quality investigators and to keep the ones we have. This week will be good. Well, it will start getting better after New Years.
We have been getting fed so much. I feel like a little fat kid. I haven't been able to finish a dessert in a few weeks. I don't even eat as much food as I could so I can have room for the dessert but I still can't finish it! I feel like I have half a cow still being digested in my stomach or something. We have a HUGE (UGE) pile of desserts and sweets people have given us at the Apt. I am seriously thinking about giving up chocolate after it is gone.... but not before...haha.
Did I really say "ya'll" when I called? I didn't think I did. I was going to use a Texas accent and tell you the words I'm learning but I didn't. I almost said "fixin'" and also "whenever" in the wrong context, but it didn't come. Though, they are coming out on a more regular basis now....hmmmm....no bueno? Now I need to go to LoozyAnna so I can learn some cajun! That is another language totally! Sometimes I can't understand people but then I have to put my listening ears on!
It was so good to see everyone on Christmas! Amy ought to put a timer as to when I get to see ya'll again. I had to plug my ears when she said "401 days!" I might start getting trunky....;) or not....really not....I'm loving it too much. That is going by way too quickly! I've already been here almost 20 weeks
Though, when I have 140 days, I would like to know. that way I can start my Doctrine and Covenants countdown. ;)
I am glad that I am not in Utah right now....really....7 degrees? That is so cold! I am freezing at 40 and 50 now....
So we were driving to go tracting the other day and some woman flagged us down. We got real excited and when we got out she came up to us. We thought it was going to be one of those cool experiences. Instead, she asked us if we had two dollars. Pff...I'm not giving her cigarette money. Then she said she'd give us earrings for two dollars. I almost did it just so I could have a treasured mission gift....a random woman gave me earrings for 2 dollars. I'm pretty sure she was high on something. It was hilarious! Next time, I'm totally trading....
Thank you so much for all the fun Christmas gifts and fun things! I am so excited to use all the fun stuff! Sis R. and I were scrapbooking a little today. I'm already trying to think what is going to be on my next planner and now I have a lot more quotes to choose from. I may have to start sending things home because I just have so much stuff. I don't know what would happen if I were to get transferred....a lot would probably have to stay here. :S
Anyway....I love you all and I'll talk to you next week!
